MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team lost a tight match to UW-Marathon County on Monday at home.

The Marauders lost 25-21, 25-17, 25-21, to fall to 2-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference.

Sydney Miller had five kills, and Katie Meacham and Allison Patel each had four kills in the loss for UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders host UW-Baraboo at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for their annual Play-4-Pink Game.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team started its 2015 season with a 3-1 win over UW-Richland on Wednesday at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders won 23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Stephanie DeCaire had nine kills and Katie Meacham added seven for the Marauders. Briana Ziemendorf had a team-high 20 assists in the win.

Marshfield hosts UW-Rock County at noon on Saturday.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team dropped its regular-season finale, losing to UW-Marathon County 3-0.

Marathon County won 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Alicia Endreas and Allison Paitel each had five kills to lead Marshfield. Endreas added a team-high nine digs and Briana Ziemendorf added eight digs.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County (8-3) will play in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference in Wisconsin Dells on Oct. 18-19.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team edged UW-Baraboo 3-2 in a hard-fought match Monday night at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders hosted their annual Play-4-Pink match, with proceeds and donations going to help fight breast cancer.

Marshfield won 25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Briana Ziemendorf had 39 assists, Marissa Wussow had 10 kills, and Alicia Endreas and Emily Kadolph each added nine kills for the Marauders. Jordan Mielke led the defense with a career-high 21 digs.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County wraps up its regular-season schedule with a home match against UW-Marathon County at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team swept UW-Barron 3-0 in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference matchup Monday night at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders won 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Allison Paitel had 12 kills and Marissa Wussow added five for the Marauders.

Alicia Endreas and Jordan Mielke each had 10 digs defensively for UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders return to action Wednesday at home against UW-Fox Valley. The match starts at 5:30 p.m.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team wins home finale over UW-Baraboo

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team won its final home match of the 2013 season on Monday, sweeping UW-Baraboo 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

The Marauders wore pink jerseys while UW-Baraboo had pink ribbon socks in support of the 3rd Annual Play 4 Pink Event. The gym was a sea of pink and the Spencer High School volleyball \teams also participated in event. The event raised funds for the Marshfield Clinic Angel Fund and Living with Hope in support of breast cancer awareness. The team raised over $600 dollars for Marshfield Clinic and will have a check presentation on Oct. 15.

Alicia Endreas had eight kills and seven digs, Aubrie Bissonette added six kills and Rachel Ludwig had
a team-leading 10 digs and three service aces for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County is now 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division. The Marauders final regular-season match of the season is Wednesday in Wausau at UW-Marathon County. The Marauders will compete in the WCC Tournament at Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball routs UW-Fox Valley

MENASHA – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team went on the road and took care of business, beating UW-Fox Valley 25-21, 25-19, 25-10, in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Western Division match Wednesday.

The Marauders are now 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the WCC West.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County had 21 kills and 11 service aces in the three wins, led by Rachel Ludwig, who had four aces.

Tiffany Kitowski, Alicia Endreas and April Martens each added two aces, Jordan Mielke had 10 digs and Endreas had a team-high seven kills for the Mrauders.

The Marauders will play their final home division match against UW-Baraboo on Monday, hosting the team’s 3rd Annual Play 4 Pink Fundraiser. The match will begin at 5 p.m. and all proceeds will go to the Marshfield Clinic Angel Fund and Living with Hope Foundation.

RICE LAKE – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County dropped a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference match to UW-Barron County 3-0 on Wednesday.

Barron County won 25-19, 25-11, 25-18, to hand the Marauders their first conference loss (3-3 overall, 2-1 WCC).

Alicia Endreas had 14 digs and Aubrie Bissonette had six kills to lead UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders’ next match is Oct. 2 at UW-Fox Valley in Menasha.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team knocked off UW-Marathon County 3-1 in a tight match on Monday night to improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference.

Second-year players April Martens, Amanda Hutkowski, Aubrie Bissonette and Rachel Ludwig were honored before the match, which the Marauders won 25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 29-27.

Bissonette, a sophomore from Spencer, led the Marauders with 10 kills, and Ludwig, a Stratford graduate, had six kills.

Tiffany Kitowski had 26 assists and three service aces, Ludwig had 10 digs and Jordan Mielke added eight for UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders will be traveling to UW-Barron for their third conference match on Wednesday. The final home match for the Marauders will be the Play 4 Pink event on Monday, Oct. 7, at 5 p.m.

UW-Marshfield volleyball team wraps up regular season with win over UW-Marathon County

MARSHFIELD The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team continued its late-season hot streak, finishing the regular season with a n 8-2 record after a 3-1 nonconference win over UW-Marathon County on Wednesday night.

The Marauders lost the first set 25-16 but came back to take the next three games 25-17, 25-19, 25-20 to wrap up the schedule on a high note.

Second-year players Kimberly Masephol and Lindsay Gotz were recognized before the game for their contributions to the program, and the Marauders’ co-captains helped the team to a victory. Masephol had 20 assists and five service aces, while Gotz had 11 kills and four aces.

The volleyball team presented Marshfield Clinic development officer Pete Schmeling with a check for $426 in support of breast cancer research. The money was raised recently at the team’s annual Play 4 Pink Event.

UW-Marshfield, co-champions of the West Division of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference, will play in the WCC Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.
