MENASHA – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s and women’s tennis teams competed in a meet with UW-Washington County on Wednesday at UW-Fox Valley in Menasha.
The women’s team defeated UW-Washington 4-2 behind wins by Kerenna Kohlbeck and Ashley Pongratz in singles, and the doubles teams of Breann Haubert and Kolbeck, and Pongratz and Kim Palmer.
The Marauders men tied both of its matches – 3-3 against UW-Washington and 2-2 against UW-Fox Valley.
Brock Bauman and Jared Ystad each went 2-0 in singles and Rob Belter and Ystad won their No. 2 doubles match in the match against Washington County.
The Marauders host the Marshfield Invitational on Saturday at Boson Courts at Marshfield High School.
