Loyal shuts out Columbus Catholic softball

GRANTON – Loyal held Marshfield Columbus Catholic to three hits and went on to beat the Dons 10-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Thursday at Granton.

The game was moved from Loyal to Granton due to a wet field.

Elizabeth Manlick had two of the Dons’ three hits.

Katelyn Welsh allowed nine walks and five hits in four innings to suffer the loss on the mound for Columbus.

The Dons are next scheduled to play a doubleheader at Augusta on Tuesday.
