STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield baseball team’s recent offensive outburst continued Tuesday as it beat Stevens Point 9-7 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at Bukolt Park.

The Tigers improve to 14-4 and 8-3 in the Wisconsin Valley and secures second place in the conference. Stevens Point wraps up its WVC season at 17-5 and 7-5 in conference play.

Tuesday’s game was the third time in the last week the Tigers have scored at least nine runs in a game.

Wausau West’s 12-1 win over D.C. Everest on Tuesday clinched the Wisconsin Valley Conference title for the Warriors (15-4, 10-1 WVC). Marshfield plays at West in its regular-season finale on Thursday.
