Marshfield sophomore football team rips D.C. Everest

WESTON – Jeff Allison caught a 65-yard touchdown pass from Colton Zahradka and ran 53 yards for another score to lead the Marshfield sophomore football team to a 26-9 win over D.C. Everest last Friday.

Keiron Howlett had a 71-yard touchdown run as well for the Tigers, who racked up 319 yards of offense (158 rushing, 161 passing).

Brad Krueger added three extra points and a 28-yard field goal, and Craig Serchen had a sack for a safety to round out the Tigers’ scoring.

Mitch Ott, Zach Meissner and Craig Zalizniak lead the Marshfield defense in tackles, and Kaleb Hurless, Carsten Lovestad and Nate Peterson had fumble recoveries for the Tigers.

Zahradka completed 5 of 20 pass attempts for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Howlett led the rushing attack with 89 yards.

Marshfield plays at Wausau West on Thursday.
