Marshfield volleyball goes 3-2 in first day of Sun Prairie Invitational

SUN PRAIRIE – The Marshfield volleyball team went 3-2 to finish in fourth place in its pool during the first day of the Sun Prairie Invitational on Friday.

Marshfield lost to Manitowoc 25-19, 25-22, defeated Beaver Dam 25-17, 25-18, and La Crosse Logan 25-16, 25-12, fell to Sun Prairie 25-20, 20-25, 15-13, and routed Neenah 25-15, 25-9, to finish 3-2.

Tiffany Stargardt had 43 kills, Mikala Sebastian added 29 and Courtney Bauer had 17 kills and 14 block kills for the Tigers. Mary Wolff led Marshfield with 42 assists, Miranda Forrest had 19 block kills and Darian Molter led the Tigers’ defense with 70 digs in their five matches.

The tournament continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
