Marshfield JV football teams rout Merrill, Neenah

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield JV A team whipped Neenah 41-7 behind two touchdowns each from Jeff Allison and Keiron Howlett.

Allison had 101 yards rushing on just four carries. He scored on a 38-yard run and added an 82-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Howlett rushed 15 times for 95 yards and scored on a 5-yard run and on a 24-yard pass from Colton Zahradka.

Zahradka added a 7-yard touchdown run and Luke Mahoney had a 1-yard touchdown run for the Tigers.

Brad Krueger was 5-for-5 on extra-point kicks.

Zach Meissner, Matt Rickman and Mitch Ott were the leading tacklers for the Marshfield defense. Nate Peterson, Ott, Carsten Lovestad and Cullen Bump recovered Neenah fumbles and Craig Serchen had an interception for the Tigers.

The Marshfield JV team improves to 4-1 and plays at Beell Stadium at 6 p.m. next Thursday against Oshkosh West.

The Marshfield JV B football team pounded Merrill 33-0 on Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Jack Donahue scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 2 yards, tossed touchdown passes of 16 and 29 yards to Gunnar Baasch and had three extra points in the Tigers’ victory.

Trevor Heiman ran 10 times for 129 yards and Cameron Swanson and Jordan Schultz each had interceptions for Marshfield.
