Marshfield girls swimmers take sixth at Chippewa Falls Invite

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Emma Holbrook won the 100 backstroke and was a part of two relay teams that finished in the top four to help the Marshfield girls swim team to a sixth-place finish at the Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday.

Holbook won the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, 2.27 seconds for the Tigers’ lone victory.

Holbrook, Laura Josephson, Sarah Clessens and Megan Marotz teamed to take second in the 200 medley relay (2:03.66) and fourth in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:06.95.

Josephson took third in the 100 butterfly (1:08.76), and Marotz was fourth in the 50 free (27.01) and fifth in the 100 free (59.68) for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts Merrill in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet on Thursday.
