Marshfield JV boys basketball team edges Eau Claire Memorial

EAU CLAIRE – Alex Strege had 18 points and Craig Serchen added 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Marshfield JV boys basketball team to a 49-46 win over Eau Claire Memorial in a Big Rivers/Wisconsin Valley Challenge game Wednesday at Eau Claire North High School.

Marshfield led 31-19 at halftime, but the Old Abes stormed back and cut the Tigers’ lead to 40-38 heading into the fourth. The Tigers used a 9-8 advantage in the fourth to preserve the victory.

Mitch Ott had five points and a team-high nine rebounds for Marshfield (2-4), which plays Chippewa Falls on Thursday.
