Marshfield boys golf team finishes second at D.C. Everest Quad

WAUSAU – Evan Schneider and Josh Berres each shot 85 to lead the Marshfield boys golf team to a second-place finish at the D.C. Everest Quadrangular on Friday at Greenwood Hills Country Club.

Ian Pillai added an 87 and Kyle Hoffman had a 92 for the Tigers, who had a team total of 349, 13 shots behind meet winner D.C. Everest.

Wausau East was third with a 355 and Antigo took fourth with a 359.

Larry Wetzel of D.C. Everest was meet medalist, firing a one-under par 71.

Marshfield will play in another four-team meet Tuesday at Stevens Point Country Club before opening the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet series with the first meet of the year at the Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids on April 27.
