Marshfield’s Bisola Omoba earns second, third at D.C. Everest girls track invite

WESTON – Bisola Omoba earned a second and a third, and the 400-meter relay team also placed second to pace the Marshfield girls track team to a fifth-place finish at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Friday.

D.C. Everest won the meet with 184 points, with Bay Port second with 147. Marshfield was fifth with 75 points.

Bisola Omoba took second in the 200 meters in a time of 27.86 seconds and was third in the 100 in 13.48 seconds.

The Tigers’ 400 relay team of Susan Omoba, Martha Kupfer, Ashleigh Sternitzky and Nikki Youngblood earned second in 53.77 seconds.

Marshfield had five fourth-place finishes: Kate Schumitsch in the pole vault (9 feet), Melissa May in the shot put (33-5), Melissa Brix in the 1,600 (6:02.69), Sara Fuller in the 800 (2:34.76), and the 800 relay team of Ashley Holubets, Miranda Snortheim, May and Sternitzky.

Marshfield will compete in the Wood County Meet at Auburndale on Tuesday.
