STEVENS POINT – Spencer seniors Danica Johnson and Krystal Weier played in the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Series on June 19 at Zenoff Park.

Johnson, a left fielder, and Weier, a catcher, were members of the Division 4 Red Team.

Weier, an honorable mention all-state selection by the WFSCA, hit .517 with eight home runs, 51 RBIs, 50 runs scored and she only struck out three times in 28 games.

Johnson, the Rockets’ leadoff hitter, batted .476 with 56 runs scored, 17 RBIs and 10 walks.

A total of 153 seniors were named to 13 different teams (Division 1 had four teams, Divisions 2-4 had three teams each).

Players were nominated for the game by their head coach and selected by the WFSCA.
