Columbus Catholic’s Elizabeth Manlick advances at WIAA Division 2 girls tennis subsectional

APPLETON – Marshfield Columbus Catholic senior Elizabeth Manlick improved to 18-2 on the season with a two-set victory at the WIAA Division 2 girls tennis subsectional on Monday at the Fox Cities Racquet Club.

Manlick defeated Kim Rusinski of Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in her first-round match to advance to Thursday’s Division 2 sectional at Kohler.

No other Dons advanced in the tournament.

The top four finishers at the sectional, along with a select number of extra qualifiers, will advance to the WIAA State Girls Tennis Individual Tournament in Madison next week.

Manlick is trying to advance to the state tournament for the third straight time.
