Field shot a 102 to finish 35th and Fitzgerald took 39th after shooting a 108 at the sectional.

The top two teams and top three individuals not on those teams qualified for the WIAA State Girls Golf Championships on Oct. 8-9 at Cherokee Country Club in Madison.

New Richmond won the sectional team title with a 350, nine shots better than second-place Tomah.

Grace Onsrud of La Crosse Central/Logan won medalist honors with an 81 and earned an individual qualifier spot along with Kaitlyn Alvarez of Eau Claire North, who tied for second with an 83, and Stephanie Baribeau of Rice Lake, who shot an 87 to tie for sixth.

Field, a sophomore, and Fitzgerald, a junior, made it to the sectional after finishing in the top four of the non-team qualifiers at the Division 1 regional last week in New Richmond.
