Undefeated Stevens Point overwhelms Marshfield boys hockey

STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Area Senior High remained undefeated, outmanning Marshfield 10-1 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Tuesday night at K.B. Willett Arena.

SPASH scored five times in the second period and four more times in the third to cruise to the win and improve to 7-0-1 overall and 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Bobby Leggon scored Marshfield’s only goal. The Tigers falls to 2-8 and 0-4 in the conference.

Brad Krueger had 37 saves and Austin Pickhard had six in the loss for Marshfield.

Bryan Quinn had a hat trick, and Matt Hoyt, Matt Dufresne and Jared Hucke each scored twice for Stevens Point. Hucke, Dufresne, Matt Quinn and Nick Page each had two assists in the win.

Marshfield plays Wausau East at Marathon Park in Wausau on Thursday.
