Neillsville edges Columbus Catholic boys basketball

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team had its eight-game winning streak end, falling 39-36 in a tightly contested Cloverbelt Conference East Division game against Neillsville on Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Neillsville pulls into sole possession of first place in the conference at 14-1 (16-1 overall), one-half game ahead of Augusta, which had its game at Greenwood postponed until next Tuesday. Columbus falls to 13-5 and 10-5 in the Cloverbelt East.

The Dons play at Colby on Friday. That game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com with pregame starting at 6:45 p.m.
