D.C. Everest sweeps Marshfield curling team

MARSHFIELD – D.C. Everest swept the varsity matches over Marshfield in high school curling Monday at the Marshfield Curling Club.

D.C. Everest defeated Marshfield 7-6 in the girls match. Playing for Marshfield was Kailey Pritzel (lead), Erica Ede (second), Maria Brix (third) and Jillian Behling (skip).

The Marshfield boys varsity lost 6-5. The Tigers’ team was made up of Hunter Welch (lead), Brandon Fahey (second), Jacob Ferch (third) and Luke Behling (skip).

The Marshfield JV boys team won 12-3 over the Evergreens. Playing for Marshfield was Lucas Roselle (lead), John Dickinson (second), Noah Behling (third) and Nolan Schmidt (skip).

Marshfield will participate in the Wisconsin High School Curling State Tournament on Friday at the Wausau Curling Club.
