Marshfield boys golf team third at second Wisconsin Valley Conference meet

MARATHON – The Marshfield boys golf team finished third and remained in second place in the overall standings after the second leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Pine Valley Golf Course. The meet was hosted by Wausau West.

Craig Serchen and Ian Pillai tied for 10th and shot a team-best 84 to lead Marshfield. The Tigers finished with a score of 338, six shots behind Merrill. Stevens Point won the meet with a 315 behind meet medalist Trevor Thomas, who had a 76.

Kyle Hoffman and Evan Schneider added 85s for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts the third leg of the tournament Friday at Riveredge Golf Course.
