LA CROSSE – After an opening game win at the La Crosse Tournament, the Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday.
The Blue Demons lost 1-0 to Osseo in eight innings and fell 7-4 to Sparta in a pair of games at the tournament on Saturday. Marshfield is now 5-6-1 on the season.
Trevor Schwecke threw seven scoreless innings before Osseo plated the game-winning run in the eighth.
Marshfield led 3-1 after 5½ innings against Sparta, but were outscored 6-1 the rest of the way as Sparta advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.
