SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Marshfield High School graduate Sean Harrington is continuing his athletic career as a member of the University of California-Santa Barbara Triathlon Club.

Harrington, who was a decorated track and cross country runner during college at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, is a graduate student at Santa Barbara and is studying Material Science Engineering.

Harrington won the 18-24 age division at the Racine Ironman 70.3 on July 21, qualifying him for the World Championships in Las Vegas on Sept. 8.

During the 2013 Triathlon season, Harrington finished 16th at the West Coast Collegiate Conference Meet at Cal Poly, and 59th at the National Collegiate Meet in Tempe, Ariz.

Most recently, on Saturday, Harrington won the Hub City Duathlon at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County.
