WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield girls golf team continued its solid start to the 2013 season with a third-place finish in the Division 1 group at the two-day Wisconsin Dells Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Tigers were third out of 12 Division 1 schools with a two-day total of 762. Verona won the Division 1 and overall title with a score of 665. Stoughton was second overall with a 678.
Jessica Reinecke of Verona was the individual medalist, shooting 73 each day.
Tuesday’s round was played at Trappers Turn Golf Club and Wednesday’s round was at Christmas Mountain Golf Course.
Molly Field was 11th overall on Tuesday, shooting an 83, and wrapped up the tournament with a 93 at Christmas Mountain.
Marshfield will take part in another two-day tournament on Sunday and Monday at the Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids.
