Marshfield girls tennis sweeps Wausau West

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team won all seven matches, five in straight sets, as it whipped Wausau West 7-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference match Monday at Boson Courts.

The match was a make-up of a meet postponed by rain on Sept. 19.

Martha Kupfer at No. 2 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Olivia Haessly and Emily Seidel each won 6-0, 6-0, to pace the Tigers.

Both teams are now 2-2 in WVC play. Marshfield plays at Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday.
