UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team wins home finale over UW-Baraboo

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team won its final home match of the 2013 season on Monday, sweeping UW-Baraboo 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

The Marauders wore pink jerseys while UW-Baraboo had pink ribbon socks in support of the 3rd Annual Play 4 Pink Event. The gym was a sea of pink and the Spencer High School volleyball \teams also participated in event. The event raised funds for the Marshfield Clinic Angel Fund and Living with Hope in support of breast cancer awareness. The team raised over $600 dollars for Marshfield Clinic and will have a check presentation on Oct. 15.

Alicia Endreas had eight kills and seven digs, Aubrie Bissonette added six kills and Rachel Ludwig had
a team-leading 10 digs and three service aces for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County is now 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division. The Marauders final regular-season match of the season is Wednesday in Wausau at UW-Marathon County. The Marauders will compete in the WCC Tournament at Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.
