Marshfield boys basketball edges La Crosse Central

LA CROSSE – The Marshfield boys basketball team squeaked out a 45-44 win over La Crosse Central in a nonconference game Tuesday at La Crosse Central High School.

The win moves Marshfield to 3-2 overall, while Central falls to 3-1.

Luke Zuiker scored 16 points and six rebounds, and Alex Strege added 12 points for the Tigers.

Marshfield trailed 22-19 at halftime before rallying with a 17-10 third quarter to take a 36-32 lead and it held on at the end.

Marshfield plays at Stevens Point on Friday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at 7:45 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and online at wdlbwosq.com.
