Marshfield gymnastics team comes up short vs. Stevens Point

MARSHFIELD – Kali Schirl won three events and the all-around points title to lift Stevens Point to a 134.225-125.075 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference gymnastics dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Schirl won the vault (9.250), uneven bars (8.500) and floor exercise (8.750) to capture the all-around (34.300).

Marshfield’s top event was the balance beam, where Olivia Tierney was second (8.850) and Hannah Marsch was third (8.700).

Tierney also tied for first in the floor with Schirl (8.750) and ended up third in the all-around (33.025).

Marshfield is now off until Dec. 21 when it competes at the Tomah Invitational.
