Marshfield wrestling team falls at Merrill

MERRILL – The Marshfield wrestling team faced its second straight state-ranked team to begin the Wisconsin Valley Conference season, and lost at Merrill 55-16 on Thursday night.

The Tigers won four matches, which included a pin by Mitch Hertel.

Anthony Knable won 7-2, Carsten Lovstad prevailed 7-1 and heavyweight Tristan Wilson rolled 9-0 for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Neenah Invitational on Saturday and host D.C. Everest in a WVC dual next Thursday at The Boson Company Fieldhouse at Marshfield High School.
