Marshfield boys basketball hits for season-high in win over Hudson

MENOMONIE – The Marshfield boys basketball team had a season-high in points and defeated Hudson 68-60 in a Big Rivers-Wisconsin Valley Conference Challenge contest Friday afternoon at Menomonie High School.

The Tigers improve to 6-3 on the season after winning their third-straight game. Hudson drops to 4-4.

Luke Zuiker and Alex Strege each scored 21 points for Marshfield.

The Tigers shot 56 percent from the field (23 of 41) and were 6 of 13 from 3-point range in the win.

Zuiker was 6 of 9 from the field and 9 of 10 at the free-throw line, while Strege made 4 of 8 3-point shots. Zuiker also had a team-high eight rebounds.

Marshfield will play Menomonie at 7:30 p.m. Saturday as the second day of the tournament continues. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and online at wdlbwosq.com.
