The Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association recognizing Marshfield High School senior Rebecca Voss with Academic All-State honors at its annual meeting in Brookfield last weekend.
In order to qualify for this award, an athlete must have qualified for the 2013 WIAA State Cross Country Meet held in Wisconsin Rapids last November and maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Voss placed 31st in the Division 1 meet out of 190 girls at the state meet. She placed 44th overall in all three divisions out of almost 500 female runners and in doing so, beat over 90 percent of the competition at the 2013 state meet.
