Marshfield High School track and field athlete Brad Krueger has been voted as the WDLB-WOSQ Radio/MarshfieldAreaSports.com March High School Athlete of the Month.
The High School Athlete of the Month Award is sponsored by Marshfield Clinic and Burt Trophy & Awards. Krueger will be presented an award from Burt Trophy & Awards later this month.
Krueger was nominated for the award after he won the pole vault (13 feet) and the triple jump (41-10) at the Marshfield Indoor Boys Track Invitational on March 27. Krueger won the triple jump by two feet over the nearest competitor. He also finished second in the 60-yard hurdles with a time of 8.36 seconds at the meet.
Krueger joins past winners of the award during the 2013-14 school year that include Spencer volleyball player Marisa Johnson (September), the Marshfield boys soccer team (October), Spencer boys basketball player Jeremiah Cattanach (November), Neillsville girls basketball player Jenny Lindner (December), Stratford wrestler Dondrick Tackes (January) and Athens girls basketball player Kyncaide Diedrich (February).
