Marshfield graduate Elliot Ashbeck off to hot start for Bradley University baseball team

PEORIA, Ill. – Elliot Ashbeck, a 2012 graduate of Marshfield High School, is currently in midst of his sophomore season on the Bradley University baseball team.

Ashbeck has played in 18 games overall, starting 15, and has pitched in seven games with six starts this season for the Braves. He has also played first base for Bradley.

Ashbeck leads the team with a perfect 5-0 record and a 2.66 earned run average. He has struck out 30 and walked just seven in 40 2/3 innings.

Offensively, Ashbeck is batting .175 (10 of 57) with three doubles, four RBIs and seven runs scored.

Bradley (20-13 overall, 4-8 Missouri Valley Conference) opens a three-game weekend series against Nebraska-Omaha today at home.
