OWEN – Marshfield Columbus Catholic scored a run in the top of the first inning without the aid of a hit but couldn’t get any more and fell 3-1 to Owen-Withee in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday.

The game was moved from Marshfield to Owen-Withee due to wet field conditions in Marshfield.

The Dons were held without a hit in the loss, which was their season-opener. Hayden Houts tossed the complete-game no-hitter for Owen-Withee, which is now 2-1 overall and in the Cloverbelt East. Houts struck out nine and walked four, allowing the unearned run in the first.

Jeremy Binder took the loss, giving up two runs in four innings. He struck out four and walked two. Kienan McIntee gave up an unearned run in the fifth and struck out two in two innings for Columbus.

Columbus is scheduled to play at Loyal on Thursday.
