MARSHFIELD – Darian Molter and Walker Guzowski each scored twice and the Marshfield defense didn’t allow Merrill to get off a shot on goal as the Tigers rolled to a 6-0 win in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls soccer game Friday at Griese Park.

Elizabeth Holbrook and Lauren Seehafer each scored their first varsity goal to finish off the scoring for Marshfield, which improves to 4-1-1 and 2-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

“It was very exciting and rewarding to see others step up and get their first career varsity goals,” Marshfield coach Steve Lindner said. “It shows their progress and going through the season we will need more of this to complete with the upper-echelon teams.”

Michelle Aspeslet, Macy Staab, Patti Jo Bloczynski, Charlotte Urban, Amanda Feltz and Taylor Schneider led the defensive charge for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point next Tuesday, the first of four games at home over five days.
