Marshfield girls track third at D.C. Everest Invitational

WESTON – Martha Kupfer took first in the triple jump for Marshfield’s lone victory and helped the Tigers to a third-place finish at the six-team D.C. Everest Girls Track & Field Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

Kupfer won the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 9½ inches, and also placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.80 seconds for the Tigers.

D.C. Everest edged Bay Port 540-536.5 for the team title, with Marshfield third with 503.5 points.

Yasmeena Ougayour took second in the discus (101-10) and Chelsea Akin was third (98-5), Susan Omoba was third in the high jump (4-10), Madie Koehn was third in the 3,200 (13:12.78) and Rebecca Voss finished third in the 1,600 (5:34.19) for the Tigers.

Marshfield also had second-place finishes in the 3,200, 400 and 1,600 relays.

Marshfield will compete at the Nekoosa Invitational on Tuesday.
