STEVENS POINT – Aubrey Drohner and Shaylee Kluck combined on a five-hit shutout to lead Stevens Point to a 10-0 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference softball game Thursday.

Stevens Point led 4-0 after four innings before busting the game open. Megan Roth hit a three-run home run to cap off a four-run sixth inning and end the game via the 10-run rule.

“We kept it close for the first four innings and overall we played pretty good, but the hits we had were to spread apart and we couldn’t get anything going,” Marshfield coach Mike Voss said.

Caitlyn Kozik suffered the loss for the Tigers (3-4, 0-2 Wisconsin Valley Conference), giving up six runs in five innings. She also had two of Marshfield’s five hits. Lexi Dupee added a double for Marshfield.

The Tigers are scheduled to host Black River Falls in a nonconference game Friday and will play a WVC doubleheader at Wausau West on Saturday.
