SPARTA – Josh Berres shot an 80 and Kyle Hoffman and Craig Serchen each had 82s as the Marshfield boys golf team finished third in the six-team Sparta Invitational on Saturday at River Run Golf Course.
Marshfield finished with a score of 328 to take third. Holmen won the meet with a 305 and Middleton was second with a 312.
Derek Michalski added an 84 and Zach Shortess shot a 91 for the Tigers.
Eric Olson of Holmen was the meet medalist, shooting a 72.
Marshfield will play in the second leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Stevens Point Country Club.
