Sparta Miller blows past Marshfield Chaparrals

MARSHFIELD – Sparta Miller scored at least one run in each of the first seven innings to go on to an 11-5 win over the Marshfield Chaparrals in an amateur baseball game Friday night at Jack Hackman Field.

Sparta had single runs in the first, second and third innings, added two in the fourth, one more in the fifth and four in the sixth to take a 10-0 lead and cruise to the win.

Sam Schwanebeck had three hits and scored twice, and Ryan Hiller had two hits and three RBIs for the Chaparrals (9-11).

Marshfield plays at the Eau Claire Cavaliers on Tuesday and hosts the Everest Merchants on Wednesday.
