Marshfield girls tennis rolls past Merrill

MERRILL – The Marshfield girls tennis team won all seven matches – six in straight sets – to knock off Merrill 7-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Thursday.

The Tigers are now 3-1 in the conference, while Merrill drops to 0-4.

Maggie Schreiner had the closest match, using all three sets to beat Katie Nelson at No. 4 singles for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
