BERLIN – The Auburndale volleyball team rolled to a 5-0 record to win the Berlin Invitational on Saturday at Berlin High School.
The Apaches defeated Markesan 25-21, 24-26, 15-7; Crivitz 25-10, 25-12; Berlin 25-8, 24-26, 15-7; Shiocton 25-17, 25-20; and Winneconne 25-19, 25-21, to win the tournament title.
Shannon Yahnke had 30 kills, Taylor Gotz added 28, Hannah Castellano had a team-high 55 digs, and Sydney Schmutzer had 101 assists, eight service aces and 21 digs in the five wins for Auburndale.
Jenna Peplinski added 28 digs, 11 kills and nine service aces for the Apaches.
Auburndale plays a Marawood Conference South Division match at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Tuesday.
