WAUSAU – Four local high school cross country teams competed at the 58th Annual Smiley Invitational on Saturday at American Legion Golf Course.
The Marshfield girls finished 10th and the boys 13th in the Division 1 Large Schools standings.
Devon Klement finished 40th to top the Tigers’ boys in 18:20, and the girls had three runners finish in the top 60 – Morgan Irish (55th in 17:28), Dani Bender (56th in 17:36) and McKayla Scheuer (60th in 17:40).
In the Division 2 & 3 Combined, the Stratford boys were 14th and Spencer was 25th.
Cade Lehman led Stratford, finishing 38th in 18:17 and Donovan Fox was 57th in 18:58 to top Spencer.
For the girls, Stratford was 19th, Auburndale 21st and Spencer 25th.
Johnelle Miner was 14th to lead Stratford, finishing in 16:49.
Kali Karl was 35th (17:27) and Abby Bauer 47th (17:50) for Auburndale, and Sam Fuehrer led Spencer, taking 94th in 18:46.
