Columbus Catholic volleyball wins Cloverbelt crossover match vs. Osseo-Fairchild

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team won its regular-season finale, sweeping Osseo-Fairchild 3-0 in the eighth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers Tuesday at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons won 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.

Kendra Baierl had 12 kills, Sierra Litwatis had 24 digs and Abby Baierl added 18, and Jennifer Reigel had 16 assists and Bailey Neider had 10 for Columbus Catholic.

“We started out slow, but starting to pick it after we were down 9-3 in the first game,” Columbus Catholic coach Kat Egle said. “The setters moved the ball around well and all the hitters were on.”

Columbus Catholic will open WIAA Division 4 regional play with a quarterfinal next Tuesday. The brackets and pairings will be announced later this week.
