AUBURNDALE – Shannon Yahnke and Jenna Peplinski led a dominating performance for the Auburndale volleyball team in a 3-0 victory over Stevens Point Pacelli in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal Thursday night at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale won 25-22, 25-13, 25-9, to advance to the D-3 regional final Saturday at Spencer. Spencer is the top seed in the regional, while Auburndale is No. 2. Spencer swept Neillsville on Thursday. Saturday’s match starts at 7 p.m.
Yahnke had 12 kills, Peplinski added 10 kills and nine digs, and Cheyenne Karl had a team-high 16 digs for the Apaches.
Setter Sydney Schmutzer had 27 assists and Taylor Gotz added seven kills for Auburndale.
