UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball rolls past UW-Marathon County in home opener

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team won its Wisconsin Collegiate Conference and home opener on Wednesday night, crushing UW-Marathon County 66-33.

The Marauders led throughout to improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the WCC.

Taylor Lynn had 20 points and seven rebounds, Brooke Schultze scored 11 points, DeNecia Turner added 10 points and Mikayla Jankowski chipped in with nine points and six rebounds for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County will play at UW-Waukesha on Saturday. The women’s game starts at 1 p.m., with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m.
