UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball grabs road win at UW-Waukesha

WAUKESHA – Taylor Lynn scored 17 points and Brooke Schultze of Stratford had 14 points, 16 rebounds and six assists to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a come-from-behind 61-54 victory over UW-Waukesha on Saturday afternoon.

Marshfield (3-1, 2-0 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference) trailed 34-30 at halftime before rallying for its third win in a row.

Paige Newman added nine points and nine rebounds for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield shot just 33.7 percent (25 of 74), but held Waukesha to 28.9 percent shooting (20 of 69) and forced 15 turnovers. The Cougars missed all 17 of their 3-point attempts.

The Marauders are off until Nov. 24 when they host UW-Manitowoc.
