Auburndale quarterback Wyatt Weiler was named Back of the Year and Stratford tight end/inside linebacker Hunter Kauffman was picked as Lineman of the Year on the 2014 All-Marawood Conference Football Team.
Weiler was a unanimous first-team selection at quarterback and defensive end/outside linebacker after leading the Apaches to a 5-2 record and second-place tie with Stratford.
Weiler was fifth in the conference with 515 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, and he added 468 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Kauffman was a first-team pick at both positions for Stratford. He tied for third in receptions with 12 (144 yards).
Stratford senior offensive lineman Jack Schmitt was a unanimous first-team pick, and senior Jake Reif was a first-team selection at both defensive back and punter.
Auburndale senior offensive lineman Lee Jepson and senior flanker/slot back Matt Nikolay were the Apaches’ other first-team picks. Nikolay was a unanimous selection.
Nikolay led the Marawood in receptions with 19, totaling 195 yards.
Edgar’s Jerry Sinz was named Coach of the Year after the Wildcats finished a perfect 7-0 in conference play.
Auburndale senior offensive lineman Matthew Lang was a second-team pick, along with Apaches’ defensive ends/outside linebackers Jepsen, Alex Marth and Paul Willfahrt, and punter Shane Brandl.
Stratford’s second-team selections included sophomore offensive lineman Tanner Weinfurtner, Reif and Kam Bornbach at running back, Bornbach at inside linebacker, and Michael Bargender at defensive back.
