Hudson knocks off Marshfield girls hockey

MARSHFIELD – Hudson poured in six goals in the second period and rolled to a 12-1 nonconference victory over Marshfield in a nonconference girls hockey game Saturday afternoon at the Marshfield Youth Ice Center.

Hudson is now 10-8, while Marshfield drops to 5-9.

Hudson outshot the Tigers 41-11 and led 7-0 before Marshfield scored its only goal. Morgan Larson netted the Tigers’ goal at the 14:54 mark of the second period.

Maddie Hall had 29 saves for the Tigers.

Alison Takkunen and one goal and seven assists, Anna Wilgren had four goals and three assists, and Angela Huepfel scored three goals for Hudson.

Marshfield returns to action Monday with a Great Northern Conference game at Tomahawk. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com at 7 p.m.
