Marshfield Post 54 rolls past Wisconsin Rapids

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 American Legion baseball team scored in every one of the six innings it batted and rolled to a 20-3 victory over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Jack Hackman Field.

The Blue Devils improved to 5-0 with the win.

Bobby Pilz gave up two unearned runs in six innings, while striking out six and allowing just three hits and one walk to earn the win for Marshfield. Mitch Susa gave up one run in two innings of relief.

Nate MacDonald went 3-for-3 and Sam Neville had a pair of doubles for Marshfield, which had 15 hits and took advantage of 11 walks and six errors to compile its 20 runs.

The Blue Devils’ next game is Monday at Plover.
