MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Junior American Legion baseball team stayed hot, sweeping a doubleheader from Rothschild-Schofield-Weston 8-2 and 8-4 on Tuesday night at Jack Hackman Field.

The Blue Demons improve to 11-6 with the two wins and have won seven straight games.

Connor Jasurda was the winning pitcher in Game 1, tossing a complete game with two strikeouts.

Jared Klein had three singles, a walk and four RBIs, and Sawyer Lovstad had two singles, a walk and two RBIs for Marshfield.

Zach Needham won the second game on the mound, giving up four runs in six innings. Hunter Korger tossed a shutout inning of relief to secure the victory.

Jasurda, Jake Brueggen, Austin Goode and Paul Maquire each had two hits, and Jasurda had two RBIs for Marshfield.

The Blue Demons play a doubleheader at Stevens Point on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.
