SUN PRAIRIE – The Marshfield volleyball team started play at the Sun Prairie Cardinal Invitational and finished 3-2 in pool play on Friday.
The Tigers defeated De Pere 25-20, 25-19, La Crosse Central 25-8, 25-21, and Waupun 25-23, 21-25, 15-12, and lost to Manitowoc 25-19, 25-19, and Sun Prairie 25-12, 25-20.
Alex Aumann had 41 kills and 10 blocks, Stephanie Rhodes added 26 kills, Anna Ripp had 84 assists, and Sara Dasler had 44 digs for the Tigers. Jenny Scheppler topped Marshfield with nine service aces and Hannah Meverden added nine blocks.
Marshfield will continue at the tournament on Saturday.
