Marshfield boys hockey blanked by Chippewa Falls in season-opener

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Chippewa Falls scored three times in the first 17 minutes and went on to shutout Marshfield 6-0 in a nonconference boys hockey game on Tuesday.

The game was the season-opener for both teams.

Jordan Steinmetz scored three times and added two assists, and Logan Steinmetz scored twice and had an assists for the Cardinals.

Marshfield was outshot 35-17, with goalie Haydon Roy-Peterson saving 29 shots for the Tigers.

Marshfield’s next game is Friday at Tomah.
