Stratford wrestling unbeaten at Neenah Team Dual Invitational; Marshfield finishes 2-2

NEENAH – Stratford went a perfect 5-0 to win the team title and Marshfield finished 2-2 at the Neenah Team Dual Invitational on Saturday at Neenah High School.

Stratford rolled in dominating fashion, defeating Marshfield 62-0, Manitowoc 76-6, Neenah 63-9, D.C. Everest 62-12 and Pulaski 51-18.

Marshfield beat Manitowoc 64-18 and Racine Horlick 52-24, and also lost to Neenah 48-17.

Stratford only lost five matches the entire day as it had 10 wrestlers finish a perfect 5-0 – Macey Kilty at 106 pounds, Jake Drexler at 113, A.J. Schoenfuss at 120, Jeremy Schoenherr at 126, Jordan Becker at 138, Sam Wenzel at 145, Mason Kauffman at 152, David Marquardt at 160, Kam Bornbach at 195, and Tyson Kauffman at 285.

Marshfield’s top wrestlers were Anthony Kanable at 132 and Nolan Hertel at 138 as each finished 3-1 with a pair of pins.

Both Marshfield and Stratford will wrestle against Stevens Point in its next matches. Marshfield hosts Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual on Thursday and Stratford hosts SPASH on Dec. 22 in a nonconference match.
